When you work with dream clients you just know their day is going to be something very special. Zoë and Craig were truly amazing to work with. I enjoyed getting to know them over our emails, messages and Skypes in the months up to the wedding. So by the time we met in person I already felt like we were old friends.
They travelled over from their new home in Philadelphia to marry in Zoë’s home country England. A 4th of July date and the stunning surroundings of St Audries Park in Somerset made the perfect combination for their English/American fusion wedding. I joined the couple and their closest family & friends at St Audries for a BBQ the day before and rested in one of their beautiful rooms at night.
Zoë and Craig were a complete joy to work with. Not only did they welcome me in with opens arms, but they fully trusted in me as an artist – patiently listening as I gushed on about some magical light I found, following me through muddy paths and up hills. They gave me the time and freedom to create the images I envisioned – this along with their undeniable love for eachother (I frequently let out a squee when I saw the way they looked at eachother) is what great photography is made of.
A special shout out is in order to the lovely lady at St Audries, Zoë’s parents and the couple’s friends Jason & Katie who helped me out when my transport plans failed over the weekend. Thanks for helping a girl out. <3
But most of all, from the bottom of my heart, I want to thank to Craig and Zoë for bringing me along on their wedding adventure. The video I sneakily created on the day is my gift to them for being the amazing humans they are. I have no doubt they’re going to have the best life together. Hope to catch you both again somewhere on my travels in the future. :)
So, I present to you the story of their magical day – prepare for lots of unicorns and sparkle.
