Sarah, Iain and their little wedding, which took place just up the road from my house on North Uist. With a couple who could not wait to get married any longer. They took their chance in the midst of a pandemic to seal their wedding vows before starting a new life together on the mainland.
In these times of Corona, where the typical large celebration us island folk have could no longer be held, the locals gathered together outside the church awaiting the newlyweds. Outside the church walls they sang against the wind, prayed and sent their good wishes.
With their closet few the couple escaped to their favourite beach, which held family ties, and strolled the shore as I captured the sheer joy that against the odds, they still managed to have their little wedding day.
