Emma and Mark had a beautiful outdoor wedding in a field right by the bride’s family home in West Sussex. The nature loving couple met at Folk Choir and so it was only fitting their wedding contain elements of traditional Folk Festival. They had an incredibly personal and heartfelt Humanist ceremony under the oak tree, with the wonderful Jane Blackman. Mark joined in during the choir’s songs, and they involved the children in key elements such as passing the rings to be warmed and the handfasting.
With a large number of children attending the couple used the excellent services of event childcare experts the Little Top. All the children were treated to fun activities throughout the day such as face painting, balloon animal making, and hot chocolate and movies in their own little tipi’s. It all looked like so much fun, I honestly can’t recommend them enough.
The day was co-ordinated and gorgeously styled with the help of Carmela Weddings who was an absolute joy to work with.
In addition to their wedding and pre-wedding shoot I also had the opportunity to capture an intimate family gathering at the couple’s home in London, which took place after their ‘official’ ceremony at Islington Town Hall. It was such a pleasure getting to know both sides of the family before the main event. Everyone made me feel incredibly welcome and I feel so lucky to have been a part of such a special time in Emma and Mark’s lives. This is the story of their day –
