It’s a typical Thursday spent at the airport between flights. The last 6 weeks have been a flurry of both extended and quick trips away for weddings. My backpack & I have travelled thousands of miles already this season. I’ve walked the cobbled roads of villages in search of buses, through muddy countryside fields and city streets in the rain, climbed onto both ferries and up hills… I feel alive in transit, eager to both reach my destination and return home.
This backpacking photographer lifestyle is now a second nature, I’ve perfected the routine down to a t. This latest trip takes me on the road for 12 days. I miss the beautiful skies and sea from home, but most of all it’s difficult being separated from the one you most love. But I wouldn’t do this for anything else. Wedding photography is my passion and I feel so honoured to be capturing lots of love stories this summer. See you on the other side.
