The hottest day of the year was spent with these two beauts on the sandy shores of Luskentyre. With mountain views and long stretches of white sand, it’s easy to see why it’s one of the island’s most popular spots.
Bea & Michael had a beautiful beach ceremony, conducted by the wonderful Davina, followed by a picnic up by the dunes before hitting the road for a little adventure. I love showing new friends all the breathtaking beauty around the island. No matter how many times I visit, it still delivers new gems.
This day Harris was transformed into a tropical paradise as the temperatures reached 30’C. An amazing sensation for this part of the world but it caused havoc with the morning ferries as it created thick fog that didn’t want to budge. Thankfully I was eventually able to cross the Minch, but had the lovely Fiona on hand incase the worst happened. Needless to say that’s the last time I rely on a morning ferry, even on a beautiful calm summer day!
My 1 year old son was with me and he played on the beach with his father during the ceremony, and sat on my lap breastfeeding for some of the little inbetween spot drives. I love that I’m able to take him on my work adventures and my clients totally get that I’m a mother as well as an artist – for me they come hand in hand.
Thanks so much to Bea & Michael for being absolute dream clients. They were so easy to work with, it felt just like spending time with friends. This pair have the biggest of hearts, it was honestly such a pleasure to be able to meet them – until next time my lovely new friends. <3
If the idea of escaping the constraints of a traditional wedding sets your heart aflame, why not plan for a more intimate day filled with adventure on Harris?
